Dental implants are increasing in popularity as a treatment option for patients in dental practices across the UK and whether you’re a dentist that works in a practice that refers patients to a partner practice or have an in-house implant dentist, the likelihood is that you will be needed to know how to restore and maintain dental implants with confidence.

This 2 day Implant Restorative programme has been designed to ensure delegates leave confident and able to restore a single implant. Delegates will develop their restorative skills and increase knowledge and understanding of how to manage a single implant restoration from start to finish. The course will bring a greater awareness of multiple unit restorations including more complex cases such as full arch restorations, however, the focus will be on ensuring that the delegate leaves the course competent in restoring single implants. Delegates will take part in interactive hands-on workshops and live surgical demonstrations.

Dr. Paul Swanson
BDS MFGDP UK DipImpDent RCS Eng MSc (Implant)
Paul Swanson qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2000. He completed his MFGDP qualification in 2003 and a Post Graduate Certificate in Conscious sedation in 2004. In 2008, he received the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Advanced Certificate in Bone Grafting. In 2011, he received a Master of Science degree in Implant Dentistry from Queen Mary University of London. Over the last 10 years, the volume and complexity of cases has naturally increased. Paul’s clinical practice is now limited to Implant Dentistry. He owns a specialist referral practice in Liverpool and contributes to the multidisciplinary cases done by his team. He mentors dentists at both entry level and advanced implantology and contributes to study clubs in his region. In addition to his clinical work, Paul has two teaching roles. He is a tutor on the Royal College of Surgeons implant diploma. He is honorary lecturer in implant Dentistry to those involved in specialist training at Liverpool university dental hospital. Paul is also the co-director of IDEAL - an organisation running dental courses for all members of the dental team.
