Implant Workshops for Dental Nurses

Course Description

The ideal introductory and refresher course for Implant Nursing. This course aims to increase delegate knowledge and confidence in Implant Dentistry through a series of interactive presentations and workshops throughout the day.
Delegates will learn the key features of an implant and what makes for successful osseointegration. The course will cover basic facial anatomy and delegates will acquire a better understanding of patient selection and the consultation process. They will also get to understand the importance of their role in relation to assisting the dentist with both pre and post-op patient care as well as setting up the surgery with the correct instrumentation and equipment.

Learning Outcomes

Delegates will increase their knowledge in line with GDC guidelines on:

  • Implants
  • Setting up the dental surgery
  • Basic anatomy
  • Aseptic technique

Registered with the GDC and a member of both the ADI and ADIA, Kasia has over 11 years’ experience in assisting many invasive, advanced and complex procedures and is keen to share her knowledge and encourage her professional peers to adhere to best practice and GDC guidelines.
